Faith takes visible shape in patience, generosity, and practical care. Small decisions matter: listening without interruption, keeping a promise, or noticing an unmet need. Service is not a way to purchase God’s favor. It is a response to love already received, offered with respect for the dignity and choices of our neighbors.
Questions for reflection
- Where could compassion become practical today?
- What makes it hard for you to rest?
- How can you serve without assuming you know what someone needs?
A practice for the week
Ask someone what would be helpful instead of deciding for them. Choose one manageable act of care, and make space for rest afterward.
A simple prayer
Jesus, help me listen with an open heart. Give me patience for what I do not yet understand, and courage to live out what I receive. Amen.
