Jesus invites ordinary people into a life of trust. Before they understand everything, they are invited to come and see. Faith can begin with curiosity, an honest question, or the willingness to pause and listen. Notice how Jesus meets people in the middle of their daily work. Discipleship is not an escape from ordinary life; it gives that life a new center.
Questions for reflection
- What draws your attention in the invitation to follow Jesus?
- Where might there be space to listen in your ordinary routine?
- What question would you bring to Jesus today?
A practice for the week
Set aside ten quiet minutes this week. Read the passage slowly, notice one phrase, and turn your response into a simple prayer.
A simple prayer
Jesus, help me listen with an open heart. Give me patience for what I do not yet understand, and courage to live out what I receive. Amen.
